Chen Yu Ting receives lost in transit at Auckland Airport and takes the wrong flight

Chen Yu (Roger) Ting, 17, and his brother Andrew have been returning to observe at New Plymouth Boys’ high college on the west coast of recent Zealand’s North Island.
After spending 24 hours flying, Roger mistakenly went to Gate forty six, instead of Gate forty seven, and boarded a aircraft that flew to the town of Tauranga, which is 310km faraway from New Plymouth.
“I went to Tauranga. I didn’t have any clue what to do once I got there and that i didn’t recognize wherein my brother was,” Roger told NZ Stuff.
His brother realising his brother become missing got off the plane destined for brand spanking new Plymouth and went seeking out him at Auckland Airport.
“I didn’t recognize wherein he changed into,” Andrew stated.
“He was missing and i used to be bowled over when I heard he became in Tauranga.”
Taipei-born Roger and his father or mother, Patricia Rowe, did no longer understand how he turned into allowed to benefit get entry to to the wrong flight, but Roger added that the Air New Zealand group of workers were extremely pleasant whilst told of his plight.
“after I went to the wrong place, they helped me lots. They paid for me to stay there, and for the price tag returned to Auckland and from Auckland returned to New Plymouth as nicely,” Ting stated.

Ms Rowe stated the men’ own family changed into distraught when they heard Roger had long gone missing and upset to hear Andrew had been left on my own at the airport.
“They have been so relieved when Roger became up in Tauranga,” she said.
